The neighborhood is pretty peaceful and nothing ever happens thankfully! The Cottage Grove Facebook group also keeps us updated if anything happens and gives us the rundown on how everyone else is doing too.

Great City with wonderful dining options, parks, and people. The school system is also wonderful with multiple great schools that are very convenient. Only issue is the frequent closing of businesses because of the lack of interest. The neighborhoods are growing, hopefully meaning that more interest will come to the different places in the community.
I spent my entire childhood in Cottage Grove. I love that it is so close to the Twin Cities, yet still feels like a smaller community. It has plenty of shopping options, especially if you are willing to drive a few minutes to Woodbury. It is clean, safe, has extremely nice citizens, and great schools.
