Corcoran is a pretty chill place if you're used to it. Since I've lived here for most of my life my opinion is somewhat biased. I wouldn't say it's the best place to live/raise a family but I love living here because of course, it's home. There are times when you'll be shocked at some things like- I'm pretty sure I saw some drug exchanges while driving to school from time to time and I think, "Well that just happened-" The schools I went to over the years are ok too. Overall, it's an average place to live.
Corcoran is a small town but that withholds a big heart. Everyone in the community is well knowledgeable of those who live here. Corcoran runs big off of agriculture and community service. There are always events in which tie young adolescents and adults together. The town is supportive and highly motivated individuals. We may be a small town but our futures are big. One thing I would change about Corcoran would be if it had a program for students to learn how to start a certain career. For instance local business show them what it takes to manage and run a business.
I recently moved to Cocoran from LA about 6 days ago. Am still trying to acquaint myself with the town. People here kind of nice and pretty much know themselves so you are like starred at each time you walk. But thats normal! Lots of Asians - Pakistanis and Caucasians in most stores. Only ave one big drug store Rite Aid and a smaller one across Whitley Ave. Am beginning to like d town but still observing. I came here because of work. I am a Black American and you hardly see one around.
