Coraopolis is a great little town. It is a place where you can sit on your porch and chat with neighbors. Children still ride bikes up the sidewalks and play in their yards. They have a great local grocery store and Italian cuisine. Robinson and Moon are just a short distance away. Downtown Pittsburgh is close for evening outings or baseball games. 79 and 376 are within minutes for easy travel. Houses are affordable and taxes are well below the Moon, Kennedy Twp costs. New businesses coming in, too!

Coraopolis is a great little town. It's affordable, safe and has a real sense of community. It's also a very walk'able town and close to restaurants/bars, stores, banks, etc. and walking/biking trails. Lastly, it's location can't be beat being so close to major highways, shopping districts and even Pittsburgh airport!
I was a resident of Coraopolis for several years. Many memories such as bike rides down cobble stone hills, trick or treating was still a very big thing even for the adults in our area despite the decline nation wide. However, as time passes i could see a change, change is normal, but sometimes that change isn't always for the better. Many people became involved with activitys such as drugs that started to impact our community due to loss, jail, and just the over all negativity it brought. Families started to move away, and houses were for sale.I've been away for 3 years now. Every time I return I see improvement of the area. Rows of shops opening, the community is trying to bring life back to Coraopolis and offer its residents something to be proud of. They have an event called Coraopolis Community Day that brings awareness to the town to support the local business. It takes one person to try, others will catch on.I'm now proud to say I'm coming home to this neighborhood.
