I enjoy the atmosphere of Coralville.
On the outskirts of a college town with a lot to do and see but not in the crazy mess when there not need to be the craziness. Hawks fans are the best fans around and everyone is welcoming. Crime late is substantly low, although you are surrounded by high cost living and newer developments that are upping the cost of rent and homes in the area.
Review Coralville
It is a beautiful city near a college town, so you get the best of the suburban life and city life. There are plenty of places to shop in the area: Iowa City, Coralville, and North Liberty. Not only that, but Coralville is a developing city. Businesses continue to begin and grow here.
New pioneer cooperative is a local food cooperative. There are 2stores in the iowa city area that specialize in organic and local produce and food. They hold cooking classes each weeknd host a number of community events. They also sponsor many community organizations and pay a living wage to their employees. The purchase most of their goods from local farmers and small scale vendors. Additionally, when a product in their store is revealed to be faulty or of bad origins (perhaps it's family company puts money in a campaign or wants to reduce regulations on pesticides ), the community can vote to take that product off the shelves.
