Cooper City is a great place to raise a family. I've grown up here my whole life (all 23 years). I've attended the public schools from elementary to high school, and have made great memories. Unfortunately, this city has done a lot of expansion over the last 5 years, making any open land disappear into shopping centers. Definitely saddens me to see this small family city become extremely congested. The area is has changed a lot. Crime rates have gone up in my lifetime, but still far less than surrounding areas like Pembroke Pines, Miramar, etc. It's very expensive to live in South Florida, so if you have a good income and are looking for good schools for your family, Cooper City is the place for you!

I love Cooper! It's got everything. It's safe and the people are very nice. It has restaurants and stores and farmers markets and horses. I repeat: we have horses. We also have flamingo gardens. If you have kids, there are tons of good schools within 10 minute drives. Great place to live!
I have grown up in Cooper City for the last 17 years of my life. I attended the public schools in this city from elementary to middle school, where the education and staff has always been excellent. The communities are also very family friendly and majority include parks, basketball courts, and pool space that welcomes not only the residents of the city but invites friends as well. I feel fortunate to be living in a community that brings the families closer together, contains great public school systems, and excels in recreational programs as well such as the variety of sports that are offered seasonally.
