Small town vibes, with kind people. Community events are fun and down home feeling. Small mom and pop restaurants and stores are wonderful! I would like to see more of the vacant buildings used for some beneficial enjoyment of the community. Some buildings could use a makeover too.
We were forced to move out here when the housing market skyrocketed after corona and although the new homes are beautiful, the area needs to be bulldozed, overhauled and rebuilt! This town is obviously growing but leaving us with outdated grocery stores and restaurants. We should not have to drive 25 minutes away for fast food (the good stuff). So by the time we get our food from Casa Grande, it will have to be reheated in the microwave.
We are stuck with McDonald's, Sonic, Kfc/taco bell, and Dairy Queen for the chain fast foods. And we do have Pita Grill but the hours are weird. And for groceries, it's between Safeway and Walmart (both outdated). Would be nice to have a nice new Fry's since they're usually everywhere - not here. We do have a local grocery store that's pretty decent but landscaping is needed.
About landscaping - where are the beautiful palms out here? Not enough! We need more streetlights and more attractions overall. I want to love where I live. Help!

Coming from the noise and bustle of SoCal, Coolidge is very quiet. There's a Safeway, Walmart, and a few restaurants. I marveled at the lack of graffiti, no shopping carts, RVs, and most of all the stars you can see on a clear night. I did see that there are some run down areas but nothing compared to other towns. The place for sure is boring if you're young. There's no night life to speak of. I suppose you can drive to Phoenix, which is about an hour away. Casa Grande, has more stores, restaurants,. Etc and is a 20 minute drive. To sum it up it's a great place to live for me
