Concord Township Reviews
Overall Elkhart has provided a great atmosphere downtown through different annual events as well as maintaining year round activities such as the River Walk and various parks. However, it still has room for growth. It could gain higher ratings if the city provided more activities that were either free or easily accessible and had a variety of activities. For a small city it seems to be doing okay to keep many current residents interested, but not necessarily enough to draw in others. A neighboring city, South Bend, is a city that Elkhart could be learning from as far as creating an environment that seems to be thriving and growing whether its in culture, food, and/or art.
Some of the bigger cities I've been is have some really excellent and entertaining shops. Grocery stores where you can browse while sipping wine, specialty shops where you can acquire any seasoning that is created under the sun, delis with an ambiance that rival some of my home town fancier restaurants. Though these places are fun to visit, I still really enjoy my local groceries and eateries at home. Maybe its the familiarity, but i think it's because I really enjoy shopping in the community that I call home. Most the local stores i shop at are either unique to my area, the ones that aren't invest in products that come from local farmers and artists. Though there is a lot of room for growth, I feel as if there are enough people here to help make that happen, and want to make it happen.
The schools are great. People are not always the nicest, but there is a great school program.
