Concord is a great community. It is a tight knit community where everyone knows everyone and has a very neighborly feel, where people are eager to help you when they can. My only complaint about Concord is the school system. When I graduated, it was a sought after school district, the administration was great and genuinely cared for the students. Recently, it has been about popularity with a high rate of bullying. It's unfortunate that the school system has diminished the way it has. Besides that, Concord is great with a low crime rate and great people.
Small town. Almost everyone knows everyone else. There is a little to do, as there is a park on the same side road as the post office is, and on the main street is the Cadet Tavern. There might not be a lot to do in the town, but the city of Jackson is about a half hour away. Litchfield is about thirty minutes away to the southwest. (There is a really good pizza joint in Litchfield by the name of Luigi's Pizza). Spring Arbor is about 7 minutes northeast of Concord.
I enjoy the close knit feeling of neighbors, I like the quiet and calm atmosphere. I would like to see more shops downtown (they are working on that) and more kid friendly stuff going on in the afternoons, evenings and weekends.
