We have been living in Concord since 2010 and as of today, 8/30/2021, we are craving to leave. What was once a quite pleasant place is now running down for many reasons. Rentals and home prices are soaring, traffic is horrible, climate change has made it hotter than ever during the winter, lack of rain and high water prices make keeping yards looking good simply impossible. We are searching intently for somewhere outside of California!
So far so good. Bought a house in Walnut Creek/ Concord Border. It’s close to Costco, TJ, and Wholefood! Pleasant Hill and Walnut Creek downtown plus it’s own little nice downtown are mins away. with A few BART stations Nearby you can easily access SF Bay Area. I also like business friendlinesss of city of concord. Another point , my experience has been great when comparing cost of living. You can live bigger and better plus you can eat healthier and still save money!
Concord is a beautiful city. It holds a lot of recreational buildings and lovely homes that are perfect for raising a family in. There's shopping places EVERYWHERE and entry-level jobs scattered all over. I love the commute time, it never takes too long even with traffic.
The only downside to this city, I would say is, sometimes the quietness. Some may argue that this is a good thing, but it does get pretty dry occasionally.
