Concord has several BART stations near by. There's also plenty of shopping options, but even more dining options! The people are very friendly, especially at the dog parks. Todos Santos park has live music and off-the-grid food trucks every Thursday which is a great time for the family. Concord is fairly affordable and a great city for families. It's not the best place for young adults trying to party, however, there are a few recommendable bars. :)

Concord is a decent place to live. It's very average there's no real special quality that makes it shine. There are three public schools in the area, one charter high school and two private high schools in the concord area. The night life is pretty limited to downtown Concord which is actually becoming nicer as they renovate it. Overall Concord has a lot of potential and is still growing but as it stands its just an average suburban town.
I'm new to this area, from San Francisco. This place doesn't feel like the bay area, it's so far from the bay, actually. Not as close as a lot of people make it out to be (so don't be mislead or else you'll be disappointed if you expect it to be close). The summers are very hot compared to the bay and you can't the city or the bay from Concord because it's behind all the mountains.

Concord is okay. Food kinda sucks and downtown is kinda small and kinda expensive. Can't talk about schools. Rent isn't that bad compared to SF or Oakland, Emeryville. People are friendly in general, it could use more diversity.
