I’ve lived here since 2018, and I will say that most people here are very friendly. Downtown Concord is approachable and easy to navigate. There is beautiful scenery, cool parks and walking paths. Frank Liske Park is my favorite.
HOWEVER - unless you are rich you will never afford property, much less a house here. The beautiful green fields and countryside are being devoured by construction of apartment complexes and tract homes. Soon 29 -Concord Parkway- will be loaded with traffic will be a real pain to drive. Crime is growing too.
People who see growth as a benefit don’t realize that they move from someplace they got tired of and create the same problems somewhere else- high living cost, traffic congestion, overpopulation. Concord still had some charm when I got here and it’s still beautiful for now, but it won’t be within the next 3 years. A word to transplants- Learn from the mistakes of places you left and stop making them somewhere else!

I have lived in Concord, North Carolina my whole life. I have always loved living here. The community is friendly. There are many things to do like going to the park, Concord Mills Mall, Cabarrus arena, Nascar speed park, or even the famous ice cream shop in the heart of Downtown Concord.
There are not many cons to living in such a small town. However, I can say that getting an education in not only Concord but probably the whole state of North Carolina is difficult. With the wages, teachers get paid in North Carolina the teachers are always quitting. In one year three of my teachers quit in the middle of the semester. This can make it hard to learn, and the students have to improvise. However, this is also an issue North Carolina as a whole should be dealing with. Other than that Concord, North Carolina is a great place to live, and I'd recommend anyone to visit!

I moved to Concord for best of both worlds. It a bedroom community close to Charlotte, Winston Salem, Greensboro as well area's in South Carolina. It has seen tremendous growth over the years I have lived in Concord for 11 years. We have area that are still picturesque country landscapes with cow's wandering idly by, nascar, as well as Birkdale and concord mills. Lots of parks and trails to hike . Very quaint downtown with where mom and pop businesses still thrive gives it a great homey community feel. Lots of activities for kids, youth counsel/sport galore.
