Working in Commerce
Although Commerce is a little out in the country, it is a very beautiful and quiet town. It is so peaceful and everyone you meet is super friendly and inviting. We are only about an hour to Black Rock Mountain State park, and very close by to other state parks. We are also close to Athens. The City of Commerce holds different events year around to bring the community together. For example, our firefighters recently had a Chicken BBQ to raise money, we had a tree lighting ceremony for Christmas, and AMAZING fireworks for the Fourth of July. I moved up here a year ago and I love my new city. I love the quiet and peace. If you are looking for a quiet little country town, then Commerce is definitely the place for you!
Commerce is a very quiet and small town. Which is great for me because I am not the big city type of girl. I have lived here all of my life. I love it. I love the people and the spirit that this town portrays. There is nothing like commerce on a Friday night of a football game. Since I was a little girl, something I will never forget is how this town glows on Friday nights when there is a football game taking place. The whole town gathers around to watch the commerce tigers play. This is when I knew I couldn't wait to be in high school and experience Friday nights as a high school student. The love and support that this town shows their students and its community is magical. I'll forever cherish what this town has given me and what it will continue to give me in the future to come.
Commerce is a small peaceful town but close enough to any big city fun you may want to have. If I could describe Commerce, GA in one word, it would be Mayberry, (Andy Griffith). I love the small yet academically strong public school system! My son is 13 years old and I feel like he has the best life influencers here in Commerce, GA.
