Commerce is a small town turned college town. If you like quiet, relatively uneventful day-to-day goings on, Commerce is wonderful. My issues with living in Commerce were that:
1. Housing is ridiculously overpriced, though this is to be expected of a college town.
2. The variation in eateries is low overall.
3. There is very little parking for the campus.

Commerce is connected to a university and is a small college town. Many people that live in Commerce commute to local cities for work, with the exception of university employees. The public school system has a caring administration and great teachers, and is technologically advanced. As the university has grown, more businesses have come to the town than in prior years. The city is generally very safe, and peaceful.
Commerce, Tx is home to Texas A&M University- Commerce, yet it remains fairly tame for being a college town. All basic necessities are provided, with the exception of a quality coffee hub. There are a few Starbucks locations inside the college buildings, but nothing for the general public except for McDonald's coffee. The school system is exceptional. Overall, it's a very pleasant community.
