Wow! This is a tough question, growing up I remember loving my city with the bright lights at night and the tall buildings. As I grew up it became a scary place to be, even sitting in your home is scary. There is stray bullets flying, missing kids, neglected children. The sad part is it is not only my city that is going through this, the world is falling apart piece by piece everyday, and all we can do is pray and thank God for allowing us to see another day.
This city has become a killing field for gangs. The murder rate increases every year and the Mayor has tied the hands of the police. You might be safe working in the city, but living is best done in a suburb.
As a native of Columbus for 62 years, I can say it's an ugly, boring, crime ridden, stick in the mud,
Growing up in Columbus was a nice experience because there's a large population and people from all different types of backrounds and it's a nice area to live in.
I've lived in Columbus for 6 years. I absolutely hate it. This is truly the most racist city I've ever lived. It's ugly and boring. You meet the same type of person constantly. It's really oppressive. It forced my to start my own business, which I'm now moving elsewhere. Glad to be leaving.
Bland, boring, dry, ugly...If you want to be miserable, Columbus is the home for you. Seriously though, food is horrible here. Grass is brown almost everywhere. Mostly cornfields and people who think American Pie is a "Classic". Goodluck!
I always recommend clients to not move here. There is a lot of crime in Columbus. We always feel unsafe here and it is only getting worse. The smaller towns in Ohio are much better because of less crime and similar conveniences. I would NOT recommend this place. You can find better.
I want to know where this website gets their data, Columbus public schools is not a B- rating. It consistently gets an F report rating and in 2019 finally got bumped to a D.
I don’t like it here at all. The crime rate is the worst in the state of Ohio and this place is drug infested.
Absolutely disgusting! The crime rate is atrocious and the city is overcrowded. The roads can’t handle the traffic. I don’t recommend it here. I like the previous Ohio capital much better.
The crime rate in Columbus is absolutely terrible! Traffic is always horrible! A lot of eye sore cookie cutter homes. I would recommend a smaller town with some actual charm.
I would like to see all of the violence and tough times end. and I like how people stand up for one another when it is time for everyone to do so.
Not a fan of Columbus. Wish that Columbus had more transit options. Also wish that Columbus had more options of affordable housing in the downtown area. The road pavement in Columbus is really bad. The whole city need to repave all of the roads in and around the downtown area.
I was assaulted on the street 15 min walking distance from Downtown. Four days later, my car was burglarized at the same place( Rear window of my car was broken and change was missing.) Police took a report about the broken window because 3 other cars parked next to mine had broken windows and were burglarized as well. Police did not want to listen about the assault.
I like downtown at night. I would like to change all of the poverty and crimes you see happening everyday. I sit in my house and it feels as if I am in an episode of law and order, hearing the helicopters and police sirens out.
Living in Ohio, the weather is very unpredictable. One day, I am in shorts and a t-shirt, and the next, in a sweater and boots! Looking at the weather channel has no effect, because you need an umbrella and sunglasses everywhere you go. In the spring, it rains. A LOT. We frequently have showers or thunderstorms, and my apartment complex floods every time. It's difficult to walk to my car, because the water comes past my ankles.
This area get more rain and snow than other sides of town
