Working in Columbia
Columbia is growing rapidly and has very exciting news for the future! I've been here 19 years (born and raised) and have literally watched this city transform. There are multiple parks, tourist areas, churches, event centers, and restaurants, not to mention, two brand-new school facilities! It's a cute and cozy small-town with big-town aspirations.
I love Columbia, TN because it's small enough to have the "home-town" feel without being so small to where there's nothing there. It doesn't have all of the things to do that a bigger city does, but with the wonderful location, it's only a short drive to a bigger city if one is looking for adventure. There are many wonderful people to be met in Columbia, and one of the only things I would like to change is for the mall to be reopened with good stores for the locals. The majority of roads are good, but there are a handful of places that need to be patched in order to make the driving more comfortable.
It isn't good and it isn't bad. My time in living here; there isn't much to do. We used to have a mall, now it's partially empty. The only place to find outside entertainment would have to be the movie theater. Excluding that, there are a lot of restaurants and clothing stores. Big surprise, there's a Walmart! And, if you don't want to go to where all the weird people go, there's a Kroger. There's also three to five dollar stores placed around several places. We have a town trolley that goes to surrounding towns for convenience.
