I've grown up in Collinsville, IL my whole life. Collinsville has its own unique traits about it. We have a giant ketchup bottle that used to be an old water tower and is what we are known for. Every year there is a big ketchup bottle festival and there are many different ketchup variations to try. Collinsville is a very diverse town. You will find many different styles of restaurants. We have steak houses, Mexican restaurants, Chinese restaurants and even a popular Greek restaurant. There are many parks and outdoor activities as well. We have a small water park that is fun in the summer as well as an indoor arcade. There is always something to do in Collinsville, the options are endless.

I love how unique Collinsville is. Downtown Collinsville has several stores, bars, and restaurants that all have something different to offer. There are several beautiful parks in and around Collinsville that are kid and dog friendly. There is a small dog park on Main St where you can let your dogs off leash to run and play. Collinsville has some great places to shop but if there is a specific store you would rather visit, it is likely only a 20 minute drive away. Collinsville is home to Kruta’s Bakery where you can find the best gooey butter cakes and several other sweets and fresh baked bread. If you need something to do with kids you can go to Splash City water park or the arcade and mini golf next door. Overall Collinsville is a wonderful large town near St. Louis.
Collinsville is a very diverse town. The high school and middle school have been upgraded recently. The town itself could use an upgrade, specifically the downtown area. I think it would do well to be made more walking-friendly to promote activity and tourism.
