The area I live in has potential, and I would love to see it grow. There are certain pros and cons to Rutherford County. You have the small-town-friendly atmosphere, but you also have a high percentage of poverty. You have thriving local businesses, but you also have other businesses struggle to stay open. I would like to see Rutherford County become a haven of jobs, great restaurants, and an overall family atmosphere. If we had the right businesses in the right area, Rutherford County has a chance to succeed.

Rutherford County's crime is controlled but still apparent. I feel safe as a citizen but am aware of the dangers in different places at different time.
I feel that there are a lot more local businesses in my area than in a big city, because I live out in the sticks. However, I know the store owners by name and they take pride in their store and the convenience it holds for us customers. So, the rating is not just about the abundance of local business or the quality but about the pleasant blend of both aspects.
