Clovis is one of the friendliest places I’ve ever lived in. It’s definitely a family community and does a very good job at supporting local businesses. There’s no other place I’d rather be!
We moved here in 2018. Life is what you make it. But I do not think Clovis gets a fair deal. All the reviews come from military people returning from Europe and Florida. There are 17 parks in Clovis, including one with a designated area to ride ATV vehicles. There is a zoo, an Aquatic Center, A place where you can paint pottery. Downtown is slowly evolving with stores, a rock and roll museum, a public library and a community college in town. I Petty theft is a problem, you have to lock your car everywhere you go, but I think most places are like that. Clovis is in the "ugly" part of the Land of Enchantment. We have bowling and skating, and a mall.
I've lived in Clovis for a year and some months now, and honestly there's nothing wrong with this city. Coming from a loud city in California, Clovis is quiet, homey, anything you'd want to buy is on one strip. The downside to Clovis is the high housing cost for bare minimum looking houses.
