Working in Clifton
Clifton is a tangible representation of "it is what you make of it". Clifton is a melting pot of cultures, races, and identities (a fact that I love). Clifton's public schools are great! I am an AP and Honors student and feel I've gotten the very best education available to me. The teachers genuinely care about their students and their well being. Regardless, Clifton (especially it's school district) gets a bad rap. This boils down to the diversity factor I mentioned earlier. There are many people who live here that are Spanish, African American, and Muslim. As such, Clifton is often discriminated against due to its denizens. I'm Chinese, adopted (parents are white), and Jewish, and have never been personally discriminated against. I believe living in a minority-heavy city has more advantages than disadvantages.
I have lived in Clifton for 14 years and I absolutely love it here! There's a bunch of things to do and to meet your friends and family at. We have multiple plazas that are scattered throughout Clifton so residents are not all gathered in one area. The nightlife in Clifton is spectacular. The home football games here in Clifton are just so lively and spirited. Afterwards, my friends and I would go out to eat at one of the plenty restaurants housed in Clifton and just have an awesome time together. It's easy to meet up with friends here. We offer bowling, movies, frozen yogurt, bakeries, lounges, clothing stores, gift shops, international cuisine, and much more! The safety here is fine here as well. The public high school has two Clifton Police officers stationed for the high school students' safety. There are stations in different parts of Clifton as well. My town is not busy like NYC but not so freely open like the countryside. It is the perfect suburb to be apart of.
I absolutely love Clifton's location. It's in the middle of everything and it's easy to get places. Because of its convenience, it has also become slightly overcrowded on the roads in the morning. Traffic can get pretty bad. Otherwise, it's wonderful!
