I love Cleveland, TX! It's calm and awesome out here. The only con that I have about this area is that some stores are far. Other than that, awesome town.
Theres nothing to really do here. We have some violence, some robbery’s and a lot of drug use here. Out roads are pretty bad if it’s not a main road, they try to fill the potholes in but it doesn’t last very long until it needs to be filled up again. I have a pretty good amount of friends here, we have really good restaurants and a lot of dollar stores. We have 2 coffee shops, which is nice to go and do school work out. Most of our neighborhoods decorate for Christmas which is really nice to go and look at during the holidays. We have a Christmas fair and parade. I would like to see more stuff for the youth added on. There is a lot of stuff for the older crowd to do, but nothing for teenagers. I think a recreation center would be a nice add on.
I moved here in the Tarkington Prairie area about 10 years ago, after living in Houston my entire life. I love the small town atmosphere, the peace and quiet, and the friendliness of all the people in our little town of about 8000 people. We are able to see and hear wildlife and lots of birds. We are still close enough to the city if we need to be, but far enough away to enjoy life and not worry about becoming a crime statistic.
