Cleveland is a great small home town. Very family friendly! There are plenty of outdoor activities to do, going to the park, walking through beautiful forest, seeing waterfalls and of course, white water rafting. Love this quite and beautiful town!
Years ago, I would have given Cleveland 4 out of 5 stars. Traffic here has gotten much worse in the last decade. The north end of town is booming (which is both good and bad). Yes, lots more restaurants BUT lots more traffic (and weird traffic laws.) The south end has NO good restaurants or shopping and also a lack of grocery stores. There is, however, a good movie theater off exit 20.
There is hardly any good jobs in the area. I am fortunate enough to have a job in sales where I make a good living, but this town doesn’t have many good career opportunities.
Cleveland does have a large Greenway system and a city park that has lots of Tennis courts and Pickle-ball courts. I am a huge pickle-ball fan, however, the courts are almost always being used up by a group that plays doubles and virtually no one else in the community can play.
The pickle-ball courts was one of my favorite reasons for moving back here and have been disappointed to not be able to use them like I want.

Cleveland is a nice town to live in. There are many fun places to go! There are a ton of cute coffee shops and restaurants, especially near Lee University. However, at night, as with most towns, it can be kind of dangerous to walk alone, and police lights can usually be seen nightly. Overall, the people are nice and there are a lot of opportunities. It's a cute town. There are also a few parks that are nice, including a long walking path. If you are looking for a place to run and stay in shape, this is a good place. It's pretty because of all of the mountains, and it is only about 30 minutes from Chattanooga and also the mountains for hiking. Lastly, driving traffic is decent as long as you avoid school zones during school hours.
