Working in Clermont
Beautiful town, with really happy residents. Amazing views! Commute is easy, and we even use the boat ramp that is free to public right around the corner from our house. We go kayaking on the three lakes that are chained together, so there are little rivers connecting them. Endless kayaking adventures. There is a microbrewery, a winery, and lake-side bars and restraunts! At night from our back porch, since we are located at the top of a hill, we overlook the trees and watch the disney foreworks off in the distance, lighting up our sky 😍 really love living here.
Clermont is much calmer and more tranquil than Orlando, but it is only forty-five minutes from the theme parks! There is not much traffic in Clermont, and the residents are very friendly. Neighbors greet you and happily offer help if you need assistance with something. While driving, cars will let pedestrians cross the street, and cars rarely cut in front of one another or go above the speed limit. The city is also unique for the state of Florida, because the area is not flat like the rest of the state-there are hills. I wish more colleges were built in Clermont. There are not too many choices for higher education in Clermont, so if you do not like the choices you are forced to look outside the city for better options. Aside from that, Clermont is a wonderful city to visit and live in.
Clermont Florida was and is an amazing place to grow up and currently reside. The residents know most of each other and the high schools are interconnected. Clermont is home to Lake Minneola High School, which is the one I currently attend. At the moment the school is the only A-rated high school in the county and is almost entirely based online, giving affordable technology to lower-income students, while reducing the pressure of carrying heavy textbooks. Clermont is also 30-40 minutes away from downtown Orlando and closer to the attractions, so keeping yourself interested is never a problem.
