Yes it's the "hood" no doubt but it is also very naturaly beautiful. Dont believe all the hate on the lake, it is a natural wonder with thousands of birds and wildlife. Most of that criticisim probably comes from the privilaged people who vacationed here long in the past. The city is making a major comeback with 3 million going to rebuilding the city park. The drought is over. This is the place to stake your claim if you got the gusto. It's friggin NorCal on a lake and dirt cheap. Dont be skerred and miss out. Ripple on clear water.

I have lived in Clearlake, California for over 20 years and I have grown with this town. Schools are good, families gather for special events, summer activities for the whole family. Dogs are well loved her as well. Great restaurants, by the water. Casinos in and around the town. Great opportunity for jobs, night life activities. Come experience our 4th of July Celebration for the whole family. Have yourself a blast in or around the parade, live music, carnival rides and your favorite carnival foods and of course, our outstanding Fireworks Display.
We’ve had a family cabin here for 3 years. We love the beauty, forests, the lake and mt. Konocti across from us. There are many different neighborhoods to choose from. Plenty of good places to eat. Could use some night clubs and more brave normal people to chase away the meth zombies, who are too afraid of us to cause trouble but we don’t like them. It’s a great place to be and the city has most everything we need.
