Working in Clearfield
I think some people might really appreciate Clearfield, if they like small towns. It has a few cool hiking trails, movie theater, bowling alley, etc, so there are things to do, but it sometimes feels limited. Their festivals are fun though! My biggest reason for not giving a higher rating is the lack of public transportation and how spread out everything was. I prefer the convenience of a compact city.
Our town is located just off of I-80 in the center of Pennsylvania. Due to its location, Clearfield isn't far from Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Erie, etc. and offers a quick drive to other scenic communities. We have a beautiful downtown with local clothing, hunting, and shoe shops; restaurants, cafes, and bars; a movie theater and bowling alley; local golf courses; a community pool; and a gorgeous river walk. Our town is also surrounded by state parks and breathtaking areas for any outdoor activity. Clearfield offers a quaint, hometown feel that is surrounded by never-ending beauty!
My overall experience has been pretty great. Being in a valley makes the scenery very beautiful in terms of all the different trees and mountain views. The valley also keeps bad weather away so you do not have to worry about tornadoes as much. The Susquehanna River runs right through the middle of town which makes the activities of fishing, canoeing, and tubing possible. I love my small town!
