The community in Clayton, North Carolina is one of the safest communities for families with children. The schools are very high quality and the community is the perfect distance from Raleigh where the tourism opportunities are endless. The homes are sensibly priced and the city is beautiful!

Clayton has been amazing. If you want country living within 15 minutes of the city, this is it! Clayton is beautiful and peaceful. The schools are phenomenal! The real estate market is booming. Now is the time to buy. You would be buying a huge investment if you do!
I love living in Clayton! It's close enough to Raleigh while still maintaining the small-town feel. While the nightlife isn't great, the downtown area is going through a great revitalization, with new restaurants and businesses appearing frequently. It's not the greatest commute but not terrible, either, and the neighborhoods are safe and family-oriented. Our school board is stable and I've been happy with my kid's school. The real estate market is a double-edged sword. We would like to live downtown, but the market is so good right now it's more affordable to stay in our suburb. Overall, we have no plans to leave!
