I've lived here over 20 years, and in the beginning Clawson was a good place to live. A lot of rednecks, so you're not going to see a lot of diversity, but you have to deal with idiots no matter where you go. Under Mayor Penny Luebs, Clawson got better, but the city has become more and more fascist since the new city council took over. This place also is not clean, I've lost two dogs to cancer here. I'm out of here ASAP.

Clawson slogan is 'A small city with a big heart'. Well, I have to agree. Clawson does a lot for their community, they are family orientated. And they have a beautiful park. I love living here, it's like a small town, yet close to everything.

Plenty of small businesses to shop and great restaurants. Just a great city.
Clawson is a great little town. The downtown area has a lot of great, unique restaurants and character, and the city puts on lots of events so there is often something to do. It is also close to other large areas like Troy and Royal Oak and even Detroit if you are craving something more. We have lived here for only about 6 months but already love it. My only complaint is there is not a large variety in shopping downtown.
