I have lived in Clarksville, Virginia for all of my life. So for the most part I have very little experience with other places except nearby towns/cities. So for me it has always had a very homey feel towards it and I feel like it is the same for visitors as well. I wish there were more options such as stores and restaurants. Anytime I wish to eat somewhere slightly different I must drive twenty to thirty minutes aways. It is the same if I wish to see a movie. More diversity would definitely benefit this small rural town.
The most wonderful place to live or retire. Clarksville is Safe and relaxing. Surrounded by a lake. You can swim, Water Ski, or just lay out on our sandy beaches. Clarksville is where to be!
Clarksville is a wonderful, two-stoplight town located on the beautiful 800 square mile lake of Kerr Lake Reservoir. It's full of artsy and creative shops and stores along with tons of historical sites to visit and roam. Most people don't like living in such a small town with no Walmart, no super-centers, etc., but Clarksville is the epitome of "living the life." No frills, no drama -- it's a town in which to live and be proud of it!!!
