There are a lot of people but not a lot of things to do. Most of the people are friendly, but the schools are pretty awful. There aren't many doctors or specialists in the area, and a lot of people have to drive an hour or more away to LA or similar to get to work! Other than that, though, it's relatively low-crime, and maybe it's just because I grew up here, but I do enjoy it here.
I live in a satellite house in Chino, California with other students from Cal Poly Pomona. I was fortunate enough to be offered this living space in a gated street in Chino. But outside of the gate it is okay; I would never go anywhere by myself at night and I always tell at least one of my roommates where I am going and vise versa. We are not from here so we are unfamiliar with the area but we try to be as safe as possible. As for location, I love Chino! It is right in the middle of Los Angeles and Orange County. I would say it takes approximately 45 minutes to go to the city or to the beach which I love.
Chino is an amazing city with many parks, recreational facility's, and shopping center. Not much crime or anything happens, rating it as a safe community to live in. The people living here are kind and generous to each other. The only unpleasant experience id give about chino is the smell. Being located near many farms, the mornings smell like animal waste.
