Got a beautiful home at a great price! Plenty of diamonds in the rough here and banks have grants depending on the area you buy.
It's got easy access to many nearby towns with tons of amenities and the local businesses here are great! The ice cream place Zarlengos is fantastic. The people are kind and most keep their homes nice.
There are parts of the heights that are a bit poorer but everyone works really hard to make it a good town. Easy to get a hold of our local officials as well. I see lots of opportunity here!
Lots of nice neighborhoods by Vollmer and Joe Burr and only getting better!

I spent my whole life growing up here. Most neighborhoods are not necessarily the safest around. There are a decent amount of public parks, but only a select few are actually kept in shape. There are often a lot of new businesses opening across the city, but at the same time, there are also many closing down or going out of business at the same rate. However, it is very diverse; I have been able to meet so many different people from so many different backgrounds, it has really helped with reaching out to new people.
I think Chicago Heights is a town that isn’t the greatest place to grow up. There are many problems in this neighborhood that include violence. I want my neighborhood to be a place that I’m proud to say I’m from but unfortunately that isn’t the case. Yes, there are many members of the community that are good people but they are not the majority. I’m hoping with my generation we can make a difference so we can make this town a better place for everyone.
