Chesterfield is a great place to live with Parkway as a wonderful school district and plenty of great restaurants and shopping with the Chesterfield Valley. There are a variety of hospitals within minutes of Chesterfield including St. Luke's, Mercy, and Missouri Baptist hospitals. The few downsides to Chesterfield are the real estate costs and taxes of the area and it is on the western side of Saint Louis instead of centrally located. If you want to commute all over Saint Louis, there is only 1 main highway in Chesterfield. However, Chesterfield has so many amenities with shopping, doctors, and restaurants that you can stay within the town itself!

Chesterfield is a great place to live! It has almost everything you could ask for. There are county parks, state parks, and plenty shopping with the two outlet malls being so close, so there is always something to do. There are two colleges in the Chesterfield area, and there are also many subdivisions so there is a great range in age in the area. Chesterfield is also home to some of the best schools in the St. Louis area, which means it stands out on college applications. Chesterfield is also centrally located, being less than 30 min from the downtown area and about 20 from downtown Saint Charles its such a great location. Once you check out Chesterfield, you'll understand why it's such a sought after town in St. Louis.
St. louis is my home and I've lived in Chesterfield for 17 years now. Before moving here I lived in the Naperville /Aurora area of Chicago land. I found Chesterfield to be a much more sustainable pace. Overall the community is quiet and safe with with a convient access to concerts, entertainment etc to downtown St. Louis. The area is also great for Mid Century ranches at a reasonable price but that may change as others move to the area. The schools are good (parent participation a must) and the people are friendly. Queeny Park is wonderful and safe no issues on the trails. The only thing Chesterfield lacks are walking trails that connect grocers, schools, otherwise I'd give it 5 stars. I am a divorced, minority woman with kids and I will miss my neighbors when I move.
