Working in Chesterfield
Great area! The people are super nice and welcoming. A ton of stores and restaurants are easily accessible and the airport and downtown/midtown are only about 20-30 minutes away by car. The schools in the area are also amazing and provide great educations! The only problem is the lack of diversity. Mostly affluent white families live in Chesterfield.
Chesterfield is a great place to live with Parkway as a wonderful school district and plenty of great restaurants and shopping with the Chesterfield Valley. There are a variety of hospitals within minutes of Chesterfield including St. Luke's, Mercy, and Missouri Baptist hospitals. The few downsides to Chesterfield are the real estate costs and taxes of the area and it is on the western side of Saint Louis instead of centrally located. If you want to commute all over Saint Louis, there is only 1 main highway in Chesterfield. However, Chesterfield has so many amenities with shopping, doctors, and restaurants that you can stay within the town itself!
I like shopping at Chesterfield Mall; the nice libraries and parks, the quick response from Police and the Fire Department when needed. The triple A Rated schools. There is plenty of fine restaurants, Mineo's, Clancys, Yia Yias, Edgewild, PF Changs, Rich & Charlies, Charlie Gitto's, Tuckers, Walnut Grill, Asian House, Cheescake Factory. Everyone enjoys the Chesterfield Pool, and plenty of shopping in Chesterfield Valley, St. Louis Premium Outlet Malls, & Taubmann Prestige shopping. We have the Butterfly House at Faust Park and tons of parks to enjoy!! Chesterfield is also a great place to raise kids, again because of how safe it is and there is a pretty short commute to any place you would need to go.
