Chesterfield, NH is a small town family oriented community. While there are few businesses in town, the close proximity to Keene and Brattleboro, VT offer employment, retail, and entertainment. If you are an outdoor enthusiast then CT River, Spofford Lake and Pisgah Park offer much in such as hiking, fishing, kayaking, and boating.
My town has almost everything, making it super convenient to get whatever I need. Another plus is that New Hampshire has no sales tax, so I can spend less while purchasing items. We have very many locally owned businesses around, especially restaurants. In my personal opinion, I believe local restaurants to be more popular than our local Applebee's. Although we have a wide variety of locally owned businesses, we also have our share of large businesses, such as Wal-Mart and Rite Aid. We can definitely get everything we need right here.
New England is known for its harsh winters, especially New Hampshire. Locals are always worried about when the next snow storm will hit. However, when spring finally comes, it could not be under appreciated. Mud season is huge around here, and there is occasional flooding. Summers are short and hot, sometimes with a few thunderstorms. Fall is beautiful, and it is always surprising how fast it cools off between September and October.
