Love the local and amount of shopping and activities available! My family is able to go out and do something a little different each day without having to commute very far. As a homeschooling family. The many options availible to us have been hugely beneficial. Great library systems, homeschool events, mom groups and co-ops! We are so thankful to have moved here

I've lived in Chester for my entire life, and I have always loved it! It's a small, little town that I think is perfect for families, children, and really anyone that wants to be close enough to the city if they need to go, but far enough away where things are quiet and less busy! There are a lot of great schools, from elementary to community colleges and a few parks for kids to go and play. Chester has always been a safe area to live, and there are plenty of things to do! There are a lot of local restaurants, as well as a few late-night spots for drinks and food. All around, I think Chester is great!
I like that Chester is a safe and clean place to live. This a great place to raise a family. I feel confident and at ease raising my child here. I know that she is in a secure environment, with no crime or violence in our neighborhood. The school my child attends is nurturing, diverse, and she is thriving. I would recommend Chester to anyone. The only downside for some is that we have no nightlife to speak of. Stores and restaurants close early around here. The good news is, if you want to experience nightlife, downtown Richmond is only 15 minutes away!
