Chester Reviews
Rating 3.15 out of 5 20 reviews
My experience in Chester has not been bad, but it also has not been great. The community is fairly nice, but the town does not have much to offer. It is very small and there is violence that goes on, typically at night. I have never had an issue personally in Chester, but I know what happens my town. The school system is not bad and students get a good education. The teachers are under paid, but that is almost any teacher in any location. The school itself is very old and Chester High needs a new school. There are bugs and rodents and our Career Center has a lot of water damage. The community supports each other with most things, that is one good thing I can say about Chester. I am happy to live where I live despite the negatives. I know things could be worse and I am thankful for what Chester does provide for me.
The small town feels is ever-present in a location that is still close to the growing cities of Rock Hill and Charlotte. The growth in the downtown area is evident. The industry is being drawn to the area with tax deductions and flexible options. Job growth is on the rise. Prices are low and the time to buy is now.
It is a small town, which can be peaceful. However, everyone knows you and at times will be in your business.
