Small town with not much to do. There is nowhere to shop for things other than groceries or basic necessities, which in that case, there is a Dollar General and Piggly-Wiggly grocery store. There are a few banks, a clinic, and local drug store for necessary things like that. There is a public elementary and high school which is convenient in the rural area, and high school sports could be considered one of the only activities of the town. The town is relatively safe to live in.

My experience is that I've been living in a well-designed community and I always been more than happy to live in a place like my hometown. What I like most about my city is the other people who live there, the places, and the history of the city. The changes I would like to see would probably if more people would live there and also the different types of places to go to so that the city can have many things to do at any time.
Cherokee is a small town, and the people here are friendly. It is not very culturally diverse and there have been no incidents of racism or hate here at all. We moved here this past year and love the surrounding mountains and the close proximity to the larger creek systems. For rural living, it is affordable and the areas close are booming so it makes for a good location for growth.
