I grew up in Chehalis. Some people say it is a small cow town, but I always saw it as a town with potential. Growing up, my classmates couldn't wait to leave and go somewhere else where there was more opportunity. I didn't think that way. I had a knowing that I would eventually come back after I got an education. I am now living in Chehalis, and I am amazing at how community centered it has become! The town received funding to rebuild the local library, public pool/softball fields and community park. It has become a place that is ideal to settle down and raise a family. I'm so proud to live here and invest in the growth of my community.

I have lived here for over 12 years, and I felt welcome from the moment I arrived. I have found life in Chehalis to be very pleasant, especially living outside the Seattle/Tacoma/Olympia area of the state. There are great people who live in this community, great schools, and a lot of community minded organizations that give money and time to improving life in Chehalis. We need more family wage jobs and housing, but that has and continues to be addressed on an ongoing basis. I love this community and can’t imagine living anywhere else.
Friendly folk if you passing thru but thats about all thats good about this place and the fact that the middle of nowhere gives you some isolation from the rest of the world.

Idk what these people saying, no drugs/crime here.
Really great place to go and do drugs because there is never anyone out past 8pm and there is nothing but parks and woods everywhere.
High prevelance of Meth around them parts too, sadly.

There is almost nothing but white people that live here. Dont think so? Drive thru town at 3pm on a weekday after school.
VERY low diversity, relative to just about any other city ive ever visited short of perhaps Orting.
(I live less than 10miles from here currently and have lived locally my whole life.)

-Honest opinion, no troll intended.
