Chapin is a very small town so everyone knows everyone which is good and bad, I graduated with most of the same people who were in my preschool class so it’s good for families who want to stay for the rest of their lives but it’s also good for retired people because it’s quiet and safe. Our public schools are the best in the state and our athletics are great too. I’m going to brag a little but I played lacrosse for chapin and we won the state championship this year! Chapin has given me great opportunities and also friends

Chapin is a small community centered around Lake Murray. The town is very small, with a few restaurants. There are several fast food eateries as well as grocery stores. We have a few local retailers in town, but no large retailers currently. I like the fact that the town is small and everyone is friendly. Schools are top rated, homes here are beautiful...nice environment, especially for families. Centrally located so you are close to interstate and can be in Charlotte within 1hr, Myrtle Beach within 3hrs or Columbia within 30 minutes. The town is currently experiencing a growth which is great! Plans include more housing and retailers. Would love to have larger retailers in the area instead of going to Columbia for everything.
I have grown up in chapin; I attended preschool, elementary school, middle school, and high school in town. Chapin is a very tight niche town, and is growing. The weather, buildings, and people are nice! I can't imagine growing up away from Lake Murray!
