Love living here, for the most part, it's calm and peaceful here. I love the community there is great schools and fun parks to take the kids. The chemical plants create lots of traffic during big shutdowns but they happen very seldom. I personally will be moving to another home in this same area. The convenient access to major highways I-10, Beltway-8, and Highway 90 makes traveling to work easier.
I've lived here my entire life and it's been very average. Nothing much happens here and it's very quiet and peaceful. The problem is that it's very boring and dull as well. The schools here do the best they can but everything is very friendly for families. Most people who grew up in Channnelview stay in Channelview for good reason.
