Chamberlayne is a predominately African American Middle-Class suburb of Richmond. It is unique that it ranks highly in Educational attainment and income while being majority minority. It has roughly average schools. It is a safe neighbourhood with older but not historic homes and a good place to raise a family.
In my opinion, Richmond is a very family oriented city. The atmosphere is loving almost everywhere you go, which is why I think most families from different walks of life often choose to move here.
It's a nice area however, it can get very boring espeically for younger people.
