Working in Centre
Centre is a small town in Alabama located around Weiss Lake. The lake has plenty of fishing and boating opportunities. I wished there were more and better sites for public fishing as most of the land surrounding the lake is private and most marinas don't allow public fishing access. If you plan to fish from a boat Centre is a great place to fish for Crappie. There are not many things to do for entertainment and as such you will have to drive to at least Gadsden, Alabama, or Rome, Georgia, to find much entertainment. There are several places to eat in Centre, but I wished there were more non-chain restaurants around. There are plenty of outdoor activities and there are several state parks within an hour drive.
Centre, Al is a small and friendly town. For the outdoor enthusiast there are plenty of things to do such as: boating, fishing, and hiking. The people here are very welcoming. Traffic is always very light. If you're looking fora small southern town, you have found it!
I love the town. Its a very friendly town to me with many opportunities. Its not really a big town but if your looking to start living somewhere not to be and nice, Centre is the place to be. There is plenty of outdoor stuff to do like fishing, hunting, rock climbing, etc. Centre is the crappie capital of the world. One thing i would like to change is that Centre would have more restaurants.
