Central is a beautiful town that is expanding every day. New restaurants and stores are popping up pretty frequently now, and even without that, it's a nice place. While there are not many free things to do, there are things like visiting the Frenchtown or Blackwater conservation parks. Jackson Park, a very cool playground for kids, is also a nice place to go. Even the schools have been improving, with Central Middle offering newer opportunities that could allow a kid to have college level classes by sophomore year and a newly renovated Central High. There are a few problems, such as the reluctance to fix pot holes along Sullivan and Wax Road. Besides that, though, Central is a decent place to be!
Central is a very closely connected community that has encouraged engagement with each other. More than likely, you can walk into the store and see someone you know and can end up talking to them for several minutes. Most people are very friendly and the city has a very welcoming atmosphere.
Central will always be home to me, no matter how far I may move or go. Central raised me into the man that I am today, and I am forever grateful for the peers, teachers, and coaches who have helped me along the way.
