Many people believe that living in a small town is a bad thing, but in reality it just makes everybody closer than what they expected. Center, Texas is a small town full of joy and laughter. The community in Center is always making activities for minorities during the weekend so that they will all be safe. In a small town they are very few places to go out and have fun and I am recommending that the city of Center should build more places with activities.

Although it is a very small town, Center has grown and is still growing till today. There is an antique Rio movie theater that is definitely a must go to. The little boutiques a must go also for women and little children. I highly recommend going to shop for a little girl or boy at Dazzle Me Pink and Blue. The portapool park a new park that was reconstruction not to long ago and it is now a place to play basketball and soccer. Center has historical events and places to go visit. In the fall we have the Poultry Festival which is a 3 day event and is a great place to enjoy the square and rides that will be there. In the summer we have another festival called Watermelon Festival but there isn't much rides but the food is great.
I've lived in Center my entire life. Although it is a small town, it has constantly grown throughout years and is still growing to this day. What I love about Center is that I feel that everyone in this town can feel connected. The town is a pretty friendly place and the county fair is always great during the spring and fall. However, I wish Center could construct some more places for teens to hang out. So far, we only have the Rio Theatre, which only has one screen and hasn't been remodeled in years, the parks around town, and the athletic fields.
