Celina Reviews

Speed trap town. Thought this town might be a great place to visit but cops within 10 miles of this town seem speed trap crazy. I always see them staking out the roads and even saw them pulling people over. When you drive through 12 times and see cops in action 10 of those times that is overkill. So I am second thinking our plans to visit this town on a vacation. Place looks like a nice stop/visit near the lakes but do not want to always look over my shoulder as I am driving and do not trust the motive$$ of gaining funds through traffic stops.
Despite the lack of nightlife, Celina has Dale Hollow Lake, which is a popular summer attraction that many people, including residents of the town and surrounding areas, enjoy. However, some things I would like to change about Celina are to add more job opportunities and increase diversity among the residents. Overall, I have had a very positive experience with Celina in the years that I have lived there.
This town is friendly, out going and helpful. It is an active town. We have baseball, softball teams for the youth. Our high school sports are outstanding.
The town distributes food for the less fortunate 3-4 times a year from the State of Tennessee's food bank. I and my family, volunteer at the local Methodist church on every other Tuesday, working at Grace Meal. My dad and I cook a meal for 50-70 people, and my mom helps out by serving the people.
