I have been blessed to live in such a wonderful town for the majority of my life. I moved to Cedarburg when I was 8 years old and I am now 17 years old and planning my college pathway. It will be very hard to leave and make a new home somewhere else when Cedarburg feels like the only home I could ever have. The small, unique shops and restaurants in downtown Cedarburg are what make the town so warm and inviting. It is also a very safe town, which is a quality I really appreciate. I've always enjoyed seeing the sidewalks filled with visitors coming to shop and walk around "Historic Downtown Cedarburg". Cedarburg is an attraction site for visitors, but town citizens of all different ages like to spend time walking through downtown Cedarburg as well. I have always enjoyed exploring the town with friends and family. I also like the combination of vintage shops and contemporary stores and restaurants as well. Cedarburg is a place for everyone to come and explore and feel safe and welcome.
Cedarburg is a historical, quiet, and lovely town. I love spending time in downtown Cedarburg, exploring the shops, nightlife, parks, and experiencing the seasonal festivals. The people who live here and wonderful, and the education system is amazing.
Cedarburg is a wonderful place to raise a family, however, it severely lacks diversity, as a result, our town is known by many as the CedarBubble. Residents seem to lack a sense of adventure and remain content never leaving the 'nest'.
Since I lean quite left politically, it has been hard to integrate within the larger community since this area leans hard right and they quite vocal about it - making for sometimes very awkward situations with friends and neighbors.
