Cave City is small little town right in Kentucky. It is between bowling green and Louisville and a lot of people do not even realize where they are when they get off of the interstate. Cave city will lead you to big largest cave system in the world Mammoth Cave. The cave is noted to connect all the way back to the Mississippi river. Cave city is small town living at its best, but still close enough to the big cities to still get to enjoy city life as well.
We stayed in Yogi Camp Grounds in one of their biggest cabins. We went though all the caves around, dinosaur land, went right on up the road to ride all kinds of other rides. Fun fill days.
There are mostly antique stores and run down places where no one really likes going. There are a few tourist stores for rocks and souvenirs from mammoth cave. We are a tourist town so when it is not summer with a lot of people travelling through from the interstate the town is dead. Recently we added liquor to our wares though so sales have been a bit better.
