Castroville California is a small town that is home to a large group of diverse people, living in it is wonderful. Although it is a small area it has many local diners such as subway, burger king, santa fe, round table pizza, barber shops etc. Local teenagers enjoy the sun or cloudy weather at the park with an opportunity to play basketball in the Castroville recreation center next to the English and Spanish catholic church. The Castroville library is also home to many students who need a quiet space to study or check out a book. It is very comforting to know that I have many friends and family living close by and knowing that I can go on a small hike in our local woods or enjoy a day at the park with my friends. To top it all off, the Castroville parade is a time where people may enjoy a day outside their homes to see the local high school marching band and dancers perform. Also, the parade is hosted by local food tents that serve baked potatoes, sushi, tapioca drinks and much more!

The one thing that I love about where I live is that it is never known how the day will be. One second its as hot as an oven the next is windy and cloudy. I love living here because we get a little bit of everything. We don't have to worry about tornadoes or snow because there really never isn't. In the summer its sunny and great time to spend at the beach which is actually only 10 minutes from my home. During spring its also very clear with some occasional showers but perfect for gardening. During the fall its windy and we get the best sunsets in all the planet. During winter its cold but not freezing cold. Cuddle season! Most of my wardrobe includes tank tops, sandals, Nikes, hoodies, jeans, and sweat pants.
Castroville is a very small town and is very welcoming. It doesn't have much to see but it is a chill and warm place to go to. Also has a lot of little places to eat at, like Chinese food, Mexican food, fast food restaurants, they have it all in such a small place.
