City streets are horrible. Home owners have no pride in ownership. Residential sidewalks are poor. Casper Mt is mostly private property. There is a series of mountain bike trails that is nice. Bike path is good in some areas and poor in others. Casper does very little to promote activities. And the city does little to improve roads and parks. For outdoor enthusiasts, it is a terrible place to live. And if your used to living in a nice and pretty city, Casper is not the place to live.
Casper, Wy is an overall safe place to raise a family however it lacks things for the youth to do! We have lots of liquor stores and bars and sure maybe churches to but unless you are a kid with money you can't even go to a movie here. What I would like to see change in Casper is more things for teens to do other then drink and use drugs, something that all "classes" can take part of.
People are unfriendly and critical of anyone that is not from this area. Many businesses are over priced on a misconstrued thought that they hold a stranglehold on the market
It's an average town. The community is not really close. The climate is bad. My Russian teacher says the climate is a lot like Russia's. There are no gang, and there is no real violence from organised crime in any way. Every now and then there is a story in the paper about someone doing something unethical; however, it is a safe place. I remember walking all around town at night and nothing happening.
The only good thing about this town, our scenery. But it's sooo windy. Which has been causing health problems for us. The people are extremely rude. There is NOTHING to do here. We can't wait to leave!
There really isn't much to do here unless you are an outdoor lover, if not then Casper is not the place for you.
There are a lot of job openings for people to apply for here, but it seems to be hard to get hired, even if you are a willing, hard-working person. If/when you do get hired, the pay/salary seems to be awfully low for all the work that has to be done.
