Casa Grande is an evolving city that went through changes of business frontages. We did have big businesses that came and left due to the lack of money coming in through the city. One thing that I am fond of is the City Parks and Recreation. They strive to give the community things to do such as family events, clubs, movie nights, raffles...etc. I have a big family and we look forward to our community events.
Casa Grande has a very diverse and safe family environment. I enjoy the fact that it is a smaller city within short distances of larger ones such as Phoenix. There are a lot of restaurants and plenty of stores to visit including supermarkets, cafes, and retail stores. Although it may seem small, Casa Grande is a growing city with a lot of opportunity!
It has grown way too fast for me but it’s nice having the new restaurants and stores, but that has come at the expense of loosing its sense of community. The traffic has increased exponentially and the friendliness and closeness of our community is all but gone. For someone looking for a small close knit community, there are better options in Arizona. There are however jobs galore. The city and county have done a pretty good job of bringing in decent jobs in manufacturing. Casa Grande may end up being the manufacturing hub in the entire southwest. Lots of good paying jobs and even the lower end jobs have Increased their wages exponentially over the past few years. Real estate prices have increased by 200% recently. A modest two bedroom home was 55 to 80k in 2012 is now over 300k. Overall CG is a decent place to live. Good jobs, fairly safe and close to Phoenix and Tucson for zoos, night life and higher end shopping. CG has outgrown me and it’s time to move on, but some will love it.
