Caryville Reviews
Rating 3.5 out of 5 2 reviews
Caryville is a very small community with a population of less than 2500 and the most beautiful Cove Lake State Park but it's also one of the poorest counties in the state of Tennessee. Jobs are so scarce and the mountain people have no way to get to and from their job sites if they had one. Schools are just "okay" so they're not very educated. There's no zoning in Campbell County so there's many empty buildings and really sad small businesses that pop up everywhere - then they're gone leaving behind whatever they don't take with them. Trash is horrendous on the sides of the roads. On a good note, people are very friendly and the small businesses are very personable.
I would recommend living in Caryville. It’s out of big towns so you have a country living feel even within the city limits. It’s close enough to Knoxville for better jobs and shopping. The down side is not a big variety of restaurants.
