I like my high-school education and extracurricular experiences. My high-school takes advantage of the grants and money it is funded with, and puts it to wonderful use. I am a part of the theatre department through tech crew, and it has been a wonderful experience I am so glad to have. There are plenty of parks in Cary, and all are clean and well-kept by the park district. Many programs, activities, and opportunities are available for free through the park district and public library. However, the town is not very walkable by any means. There is one center point, of few fast-food restaurants and a grocery store. Otherwise, there is a downtown area with another few local restaurants and small businesses. Generally speaking, these places must be driven to, despite limited parking. There is, however, a train system running through Cary to Chicago and Harvard. Though underused, in my opinion, the train system provides many commuters and teens with reliable, affordable transportation.
The land and forest preserves are quite beautiful. Once spring hits and everything starts to feel alive again, it's the most perfect place to go for a walk at any time, no matter your mood. Go walking when you're angry to clear your thoughts, go when you're most excited about life and want to take it all in. Even a rainy day brings peace and the smell of purity on those pathways. Fishing is always fun, even when the fish are small and makes it catch/relase. The town itself is pretty small and close together, but that's the best way to have it.
Not managed well, money biased, police only worry about tickets/income for city.instead of having a(they removed him to let the school and parents to deal with it)crossing guard or parking a police vehicle at a major intersection by the school they put up speed traps out of the busy, dangerous area.didn't investigate a huge part of the towns cars being vandalized until most of the town complained, then didn't get back to them.4 months out of the year you can't park on the street overnight, and will hassle you if your parked over the sidewalk, not plowing or spreading salt often.almost as strict as a h.o.a. if you have garbage that looks like your doing anything related to carpentry work and the village truck sees it they'll want to inspect the house for permits.inflated property prices.i don't see children playing outside that often,if so it's in a driveway.only 1 street, northwest highway, that crosses the river which is a big hassle.a slow speed limit and speed traps leads to long commutes.
