There aren't many opportunities for people with nothing handed to them in life. There is the new college campus, and there are the factories who hire frequently. But if you don't at least have family already working there then you have less chance of getting the job. People who live here seem to either love it or hate it. Although, like many small towns, it does have a quaint feeling about it, most stores and restaurants close early and on Sundays. There isn't a lot of serious crime, other than drug use. Though, set on the Ohio River, it does draw attention from coal transport.

Have lived here for 3 years. Everyone is so nice. It's a small town on the Ohio River. Have a lot of community projects going on at this time. Lots of old buildings, some of which are in the historical society of Carrollton. I would recomend this town to anyone. We have great schools. There is a small college here also. The 3 parks are wonderful. Where the Kentucky and Ohio meet there is a park where they have a lot of outdoors events with bands. There is so much here for you to see, there's never a dull moment here in Carrollton,Ky.
I have lived in Carrollton my entire life. I love the small town feel the overall area has to offer. Everyone knows everyone. There is not much to offer for night life but there is nice parks, a pool, a skatepark, and quite a few restaurants to enjoy.
