Working in Carpinteria
I’ve lived in Carpinteria most of my life. It is a beautiful small beachside town ten miles south of Santa Barbara. Commuting around town is easily down by using the trolley system, riding a bike, running, walking or driving. It is located between the beach and our beautiful mountains. Agriculture and technology are the largest businesses here. There is a weekly Farmer’s Market and several festivals throughout the year, the Avocado Festival being the most well known. I love living here.
I've lived in Carpinteria for the last 20 years. I moved here from Palm Springs just before I turned 8. It is a small town and most people here are very friendly. Carpinteria boasts having the world's safest beach as well. Linden Ave. is lined with local businesses, and there are many places to shop and eat, however most places close relatively early in the afternoon. Overall, Carpinteria is an idyllic place to grow up and live.
Overall, Carpinteria is a very beautiful town with people who truly care. The city is very laid back and has a friendly feel. Although Carpinteria is a very small town, it is not difficult to find things to do. Most days, locals will spend their time at the beach or grab a bite to eat downtown. I love Carpinteria and all that it has to offer, however there is a tweak I would make so that it absolutely perfect. I wish locals were more willing to take care of their town, as there is trash and gum almost everywhere. This problem could be solved with programs that devote their time to cleaning the city and making it beautiful.
